I am an educator, learning scientist, and EdTech builder with over 10 years of experience designing curriculum, assessment, and technology-enabled learning ecosystems for STEM, holding a PhD in Engineering Education, an MS in Electrical Engineering, and a BS in Mechatronics Engineering. I bridge the gap between academia and industry, drawing on my background as a former Senior Engineer with 6+ years of experience in embedded and electrical systems.
Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the First-Year Engineering Program at Purdue University Fort Wayne. My research focuses on the intersection of AI in education, human-AI collaboration, metacognition, learning analytics, and upskilling. Beyond the classroom, I have developed award-winning educational technology tools for humanitarian settings, conducting interdisciplinary research and instruction in Jordan and Kenya. I am proud to have received the Young Scientist Award from the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy and the Duncan Fraser Award for Best Paper. Previously, I served as President of the Student Platform for Engineering Education Development and co-founded an award-winning chapter of the Brazilian Automation Society.
Below are some of the most recent hardware and software projects I have developed. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in collaboration, partnerships, or consulting services.
